Thanksgiving Recipes - Cranberry Sauce

 

Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag (12 oz) fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water (or orange juice)
  • Optional: zest of 1 orange

Preparation:

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and water (or orange juice).
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer for about 10-15 minutes. Stir occasionally as cranberries pop open.
  3. Remove from heat and allow to cool. The sauce will thicken further as it cools.
  4. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
