Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup cream or milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chives or crispy onions for garnish
Preparation:
- Boil the potatoes in salted water for 15-20 minutes, or until fork-tender.
- Drain and return potatoes to the pot.
- Mash with a potato masher or use a hand mixer for a smoother texture.
- Add butter, cream, salt, and pepper. Stir until creamy.
- Garnish with chives or crispy onions and serve warm.
