Cornbread
Ingredients:
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup melted butter
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix together cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and melted butter.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the greased dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Serve warm with butter.
